The Process
 
Consult
Exploring the organisation's high level web design requirements and suitability of Diversified Technologies as the web design partner. Requirements such as graphic design, hosting, database development and programming requirements are discussed during this initial meeting.

Concept
With the information gathered during the consultation process we are able to do an initial scoping of the project and determine what subject specialists, such as graphic designers, programmers, content writers and search engine optimisation specialists to include in the concept development process. The scope of the project determines the size of the website development team, which may vary from one professional web designer to a team of experts for complex websites. The website concept is created by bringing together the website development team with representatives from the organisation that may include marketers, operational staff, business process experts, project managers and other stakeholders. The goal is to develop and communicate the website concept, that includes the business objectives, branding considerations, reviewing existing marketing material including websites, content requirements and website functionality through a collaborative discussion and creative thinking session.

Planning
The concept completion is followed by a detailed website planning phase, during which the website development project plan is created. The following main activities will be addressed during the planning phase:

- Website Purpose, Goals and Objectives
- Target Audience
- Website Content Development
- Website Design Style (including Website Usability)
- Technical Requirements
- Budget
- Contracts
- Timing
- Website Development Project Plan

Design and Development
This phase of the project includes the actual creation of the website incorporating all of the design aspects outlined in the website development project plan. During this phase all members of the project team (DivTech and customer) collaborate to complete the website.

Implementation
Once the website prototype has been completed, it is tested before being uploaded to the internet for user access.

Promotion
Promotional activities will be required to attract visitors to the websites. Diversified Technologies offers SEM (Search Engine Marketing) services such as online advertising campaign management, pay per click campaign management, link exchange and web public relations services.

Content Management
Up to date and relevant content is a critical factor in a website's ability to attract visitors, keeping them on a site and to get them to return. However many organisations do not have the skills to maintain their own websites, even if they are built as a Content Management System that allows them to maintain certain content of their website themselves. Diversified Technologies assists organisations with managing and optimising their website content by offering a variety of different solutions, such as a monthly retainer, an hourly rate or a project based cost.

Visitor Tracking and Analysis
Website visitor tracking allows website owners to measure the success of their websites and online advertising campaigns by tracking the visitor demographics of each visitor to the website, which is then compared against the visitor goals set for the website. Visitor tracking is especially useful for determining traffic sources, visitor geographical locations, unique visitor numbers and popular web pages and links. Ongoing Website Optimisation
Content uploaded by customer themselves are usually not Search Engine Optimised and will therefore not assist the website with ranking for key search phrases in the Search Engines. The optimising of a website includes content and architecture.
